As a high pressure off to our east continues to sit and spin, there are little changes in the forecast from previous ones as we have mostly sunny skies and temperatures right about average for this time of year. However, as the air mass has little to change it for the a majority of the weekend, look for temperatures to slowly increase till we reach the low 90s on Sunday. After Sunday, temperatures will fall back a bit as a cold front moves through overnight giving us a shot at some precipitation during the morning to mid-day hours on Monday. Temperatures will be in the mid 80s as we start next week.

Rain stays out of the forecast for the end of the week, with temperatures remaining in the mid to upper 80s and reaching around the 90 degree mark by the start of the weekend. Rain chances push off until the beginning of the next work week. Until then average summer conditions persist through the weekend.

The pleasant weather continues today as high pressure continues to dominate the area with highs only reaching the low 80s today with sunny skies.  We will have calm winds today as well with the high pressure centerred over Missouri  Tomorrow the high pressure pushes off east, will be centered around the Indiana/Ohio boarder, bringing us in Missouri southeasterly winds and with that will ring a increase in humidity and temperatures back up in the mid 80s.  To round out the work week on Friday highs will be in the upper 80s with a warm weekend ahead.

A high pressure system parking itself over New Mexico lends us extremely comfortable weather over the forecast period. Not much is expected to change, as winds should stay light but persistent and temperatures rising into the upper 80s and lows down into the upper 60s.

Discussion
Upper level high pressure churning over the Southwestern CONUS will continue to dictate the weather pattern over Columbia. Seasonally cool temperatures will continue through the week thanks to northerly flow over the region as a high pressure center to our west slowly migrate northeast. This will shift our winds from north to east over Tuesday and Wednesday suppressing any hot and humid conditions like we have seen over the previous week. Precipitation chances are minimal through the forecast period as the upper level flow steers weather systems up and around the Midwest. Look for high temperatures in the low to mid 80's through Thursday with seasonally low relative humidity values keeping the summer heat away from the region. Enjoy!

After seeming like the oppressive heat will never go away, a cold front moved through last night bringing with it rain and and a welcome relief from the HOT temperatures. The passage of this cold front will impact us for the week and take us from above average temperatures to below average temperatures. A high pressure over Nebraska is what will will give us the cooler and sunnier weather. Winds will be out of the north which will bring in a cooler and drier airmass leading to the copious amounts of sunshine in the forecast and temperatures in the low 80s.
