Discussion:
An active weather period will persist over the weekend bringing with it chances for rain, thunderstorms, and flooding. Showers and thunderstorms will be the norm for the weekend but it won't be a complete washout. Rain moves in by Friday afternoon but leaves by sunset. More rain develops overnight towards morning on Saturday with a break until Saturday afternoon. These storms could be strong with some severe storms as well. The main concern is wind and hail at this time. Storms overnight on Saturday will move south out of Iowa along a front that drops temperatures back slightly. Rain will yet again develop Sunday afternoon and some could be strong as well. If it isn't raining this weekend, skies are expected to remain cloudy and will into the start of the next work week.
