A warm front moved through the area this morning which is contributing to warmer temperatures for this afternoon. Low humidity in the atmosphere over the next few days will keep our skies consistently clear. This will add up to warmer than normal temperatures today for the month of October, then falling back down to normal seasonal temperatures through the end of the week.

Using a blend of both the NAM and GFS models, we saw confluent flow located over our part of the country. This puts us in between two different jet streams as well as two ridges. For today we will be in the warm sector of a warm front that moved through the area early this morning. This coupled with the lack of moisture will lead to warmer than normal temperatures for this time of year for the remainder of today. After that there will be a passage of a cold front passing through the area between 0000Z and 0600Z tomorrow that will allow for temperatures to move back into normal seasonal values for this time of year.
