Discussion: This weekend is a perfect example of rinse and repeat as we can expect similar conditions for the entirety of the forecast period. A warm front currently sits in northern Iowa placing our area under the warm sector, where we look to remain. Temperatures will remain slightly above average for this time of year, but while it will be warm, dewpoints will remain low for the weekend. This lack of moisture will keep skies clear for most of the days but don't be surprised if some daytime heating causes some afternoon fair weather clouds. Things look to change next week so enjoy the weekend weather!

Technical Discussion (The nerdy stuff we are discussing in class!)
Due to the warm front sitting north of the state, southerly flow will persist until the next disturbance appears. While the flow is from the south, moisture has yet to return to the region so dewpoints will remain low and cloud cover will remain hit and miss, a rarity for Missouri summer. GFS, NAM, and SREF disagree with the approaching timing of a vort max at 500 mb on Sunday. The GFS is more aggressive and has showers impacting the region by 21 UTC while the NAM and SREF show little in the way of a potential preciptation. Next week looks to be active and future forecasters should take note of the potential changes in store.
