Forecasts over the weekend have shifted Barry more west which puts us just on the most northwesterly fringes of it for Monday and Tuesday. While there are chances for rain and even isolated thunderstorms, the bulk of the precip stays over the southeastern portion of the state. We aren't out of the woods and we will still see some rainfall, but our total amount of rain fallen will be about 1/4 an inch compared to the multiple inches other parts of the state will see. While it may not be raining, the large cloud shield will keep the sun away for these first few days and will help to keep temperatures down. Once the clouds go away on Wednesday however, the hot and humid temperatures return with a vengeance as temperatures in the mid 90s with heat index values above 100 are likely. It is going to get HOT the rest of the week once we're done with Barry.
