Discussion:
Summer-like weather persists for the next couple days with temperatures well above the seasonal average. Winds out of the south will keep us warm and humid with wind speeds picking up as we head towards Wednesday. Early Thursday morning there is a chance of showers that will increase as we progress into Thursday afternoon.

Technical Discussion (The nerdy stuff we are discussing in class!)
Warm air advection will continue to lead to above average temperatures throughout the forecast period. Highs will reach into the mid to upper 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday amid a tightening surface pressure gradient. This pressure gradient will lead to strong southerly winds during the day Wednesday. Gusts upward of 35mph seem plausible. Confidence decreases in regards to Thursday as the position of a cold front will have drastic impacts with respect to precipitation and temperature. For this period, will defer to GFS solution that moves the front through our area. This solution also shows the potential for convection, but will defer to later shifts in regards to the possiblity of thunderstorms and potential cloud cover on Thursday.
