Discussion:

It is going to be unseasonably warm with temperatures in low 80s Friday afternoon, and there will be no chances of rain thought the weekend. Due to Hurricane Delta cloud cover will develop over the area on Friday night and will persist through Saturday night. There is a chance of fog in low lying areas that will burn off by mid morning Saturday. Sunday will have nice weather with highs in the upper 70s.

Technical Discussion (The nerdy stuff we are discussing in class)

Diagnostic conditions fell more in sync with the NAM output, as the GFS predicted too cool of low temperatures this morning. Therefore the NAM, along with SREF and GEFS are used for the duration of the forecast.

Today we will see above average temperatures due to southerly flow and WAA. As Delta makes landfall today, the main impact of the hurricane will stay to the south within the track of the system, although it will bring low level moisture into our area beginning tonight and lasting through much of Saturday.

Saturday will still be unseasonably warm due to continued southerly flow and WAA, but cloud cover from Delta will decrease insolation, making the high temperature slightly cooler than Friday. The cloud cover will last most the day. On the Saturday morning model soundings, a radiation inversion is observed with light wind resulting in a possibility of fog.

Sunday will have fair weather as it will be a transitional day between the ridge pattern we have had the past week to a trough pattern moving in from the northwest which will be bringing our next chance of precipitation early next week.
